Ryota Opp

Hail from Tokushima, Shikoku Island of Japan and currently based in Tokyo, Ryota Arai a.k.a. Ryota Opp released his first album Unknown Place 2011 on his own imprint Future Life followed by 12” single and an album on UK based label Media Fury on 2015 which was supported by DJs such as Nick The Record and Mary Anne Hobbes.

Backed by vast musical knowledge he earned while working as a buyer at Coconut Disk Ekoda, Opp is a lynchpin of Tokyo's burgeoning underground disco / house scene and known to mix eastern mysticism, spiritual jazz, rare cosmic disco and deeply musical / intricate house music. He also has an extensive DJ career in abroad. He has been invited to play at Bali, Bangkok, Los Angeles, Ibiza and Paris, and an annual visit to brilliant corners, London deepened his relationship with the rest of Time Capsule family.
